What is a church member? Is membership in a local church a biblical practice? Why does this matter? All of these questions and more will be answered at the 2025 Building Healthy Churches Conference. Our speakers will be: Brandon Langley and Phil Newton. Brandon Langley serves as pastor of St. Rose Community Church, Associate Director of Regions for Pillar Network, and is author of a forthcoming volume on membership in a local church. Phil Newton serves as Director of Pastoral Care and Mentoring for Pillar Network. He currently serves as an elder at Midtown Baptist in Memphis, TN. Phil has written numerous volumes that are helpful for pastors and churches. In Mending the Nets: Rethinking Church Leadership, Phil co-wrote this volume with Rich Shadden and it addresses Biblical Church Leadership. This one-day event will be packed with encouragement for churches, resources for attendees, and a great time of fellowship. Gather with us on August 23rd, 2025 as we think through Meaningful Membership and how it impacts local churches in Louisiana and beyond. Register below!
